Tour program

Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra – Transfer to Phuentsholing
Welcome to Bhutan! On arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station, meet and greet our representative. Begin your journey to the Indo-Bhutan border town of Phuentsholing (Jaigaon side). After reaching, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, visit the beautiful Zangto Pelri Lhakhang, a serene temple in the heart of the town. The rest of the evening is free for leisure.
Overnight Stay: Phuentsholing
Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu (148 km / approx. 7 hours)
After breakfast, complete immigration formalities for Bhutan entry. Once done, drive towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Eastern Himalayas, lush forests, rivers, and waterfalls on the way. On arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel and spend your evening at leisure, exploring Clock Tower Square and the local market.

Day 3: Thimphu Local Sightseeing
Today, after breakfast, begin a full-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Visit Buddha Point to witness the world’s largest sitting Buddha statue. Explore Simply Bhutan Museum and Takin Preserve (zoo). Later, visit Tashichho Dzong, the beautiful fortress that serves as the seat of the King and the monastic body. In the afternoon, visit the King's Memorial Chorten and Handicrafts Emporium where you can shop for Bhutanese textiles, masks, woodcrafts, and souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy time at Clock Tower Square.
Overnight Stay: Thimphu
Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha (75 km / approx. 3 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. En route, stop at the famous Dochula Pass (3,150m), known for panoramic views of the Himalayan range and 108 memorial chortens. On reaching Punakha, visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Also, walk on the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan.

Day 5: Punakha to Paro
After breakfast, proceed towards Paro. On the way, stop at Chuzom, the meeting point of two rivers, and visit the iron bridge near Tamchog Lhakhang. En route, admire the scenic view of Paro Airport – one of the world’s most dramatic airports. In the evening, explore the Paro market and enjoy local shopping.

Day 6: Paro Sightseeing – Hike to Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang)
Today is the highlight of your Bhutan trip. After an early breakfast, start your hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as Tiger’s Nest. Perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor, this sacred site offers breathtaking views. The hike (round-trip) takes about 5 hours. Return to Paro in the evening and rest.

Day 7: Paro – Phuentsholing – Bagdogra/NJP (Departure)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Phuentsholing. Then, continue your onward journey to Siliguri/NJP/Bagdogra. Depart with beautiful memories of the land of the Thunder Dragon – Bhutan.
