Tour program

Day 1: Arrival at Dibrugarh – Into the Valleys of Aalo
Your adventure begins as you land in Dibrugarh, where the wild calls of Arunachal beckon you. Crossing the majestic Bogibeel Bridge over the Brahmaputra, the journey takes you through rustic tribal villages and lush valleys. With every bend, life slows down—children waving, farmers at work, and tribal customs unfolding before your eyes. By evening, you arrive in Aalo, a town nestled amidst the hills of West Siang. A warm meal and a peaceful night welcome you to the gateway of your expedition.
Day 2: Aalo to Mechuka – Into the Hidden Valley
The road to Mechuka is a journey through raw wilderness—narrow mountain passes, hanging bridges swaying over turquoise rivers, and the songs of waterfalls echoing in the valley. Along the way, you’ll meet the Adi and Memba tribes, their stories as rich as the landscapes they inhabit. By late evening, the misty valley of Mechuka greets you with its timeless serenity. A simple meal and starlit skies mark the beginning of your Mechuka immersion.
Day 3: Mechuka Local Discovery – Spiritual Heart of the Valley
The day unfolds in the quiet charm of Mechuka. From the ancient Samten Yongcha Monastery, overlooking the valley with centuries of Buddhist whispers, to the Gurudwara Mechuka, honoring Guru Nanak’s legendary journey, spirituality flows through the air. At Hanuman Camp, panoramic views stretch endlessly. A picnic by the Siom River, with mountains as your backdrop, becomes a memory etched forever. As the sun sets, Mechuka glows golden, wrapping you in peace.
Day 4: Mechuka – A Cultural Immersion
This day is all about slowing down and living the Mechuka life. Walk through Memba villages, watch prayer flags fluttering in the breeze, and share stories with locals over cups of butter tea. Optional adventures await—treks to hidden hilltops, biking through valley trails, or quiet riverside walks. As evening falls, you sit by the fire, tasting local delicacies and realizing Mechuka isn’t just a place—it’s a feeling.
Day 5: Mechuka to Pasighat – Gateway to Arunachal
A long but rewarding drive takes you to Pasighat, the oldest town in Arunachal and the gateway to the state. En route, the landscapes shift dramatically—bamboo bridges sway above roaring rivers, waterfalls appear around bends, and the mighty Siang River makes its presence felt. By evening, you’re strolling along the Siang, watching the sunset paint the river gold. Dinner is traditional Adi cuisine, rich in earthy flavors.
Day 6: Pasighat to Roing – Into the Dibang Valley
Today, you travel across the striking Sisseri Bridge to reach Roing, the peaceful headquarters of the Lower Dibang Valley. A shorter drive gives you time to rest, stroll through the quiet town, and soak in the stillness of the valley. The evening hums with the sounds of crickets and rivers, setting the rhythm of your next wild chapter.
Day 7: Roing to Anini – Into the Wild Heart
The road to Anini is raw and rugged, winding through the untamed Mishmi Hills. Snow-dusted Mayudia Pass greets you with Himalayan views, and the journey unfolds beside the mighty Dibang River. The wilderness grows thicker, the air colder, and the silence deeper. By evening, you arrive at Anini, the fabled “Switzerland of the East,” a remote land where time seems to stand still.
Day 8: Anini – Acheso & Waterfalls of Wonder
Anini’s secrets lie hidden in its forests. A day trip to Acheso brings you to the magical Chigu Waterfall and the majestic Mawu Falls, thundering yet serene. Here, picnics by the water feel like a dream, and digital detox comes naturally—there is no network, only nature. Optional: an overnight camp at Dree Afra by the Dri River, under a blanket of stars, with a candlelight dinner by the waterfall.
Day 9: Emuli Grassland Trek – Nature’s Canvas
Your boots crunch against trails as you trek through sub-tropical forests into the highland Emuli Grasslands. Wildflowers scatter across rolling meadows, yaks graze lazily, and the Eastern Himalayas paint the horizon. A packed lunch in this wilderness feels priceless. By evening, you return to Anini, heart full and soul renewed by nature’s canvas.
Day 10: Anini to Roing – Retracing the Wild Roads
The long journey back retraces the winding roads through the Mishmi Hills. Another glimpse of Mayudia Pass, another pause at village markets, and more stories collected along the way. By nightfall, you are back in Roing, tired but content, with the mountains now etched in your memory.
Day 11: Roing to Dibrugarh – Farewell to the Wild
On your final morning, you journey back to Dibrugarh Airport. As the rivers, mountains, and forests roll past, you carry with you more than just photographs—you carry the spirit of Arunachal’s wilderness, its tribes, its untamed beauty, and its quiet lessons of life.
