Tour program

Day 1: Arrival at IXB – Transfer to Phuentsholing
Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be warmly greeted by our representative. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway town of Bhutan (approximately 4 to 5 hours). After checking into your hotel, you have the evening free to relax or take a leisurely stroll around the local market to soak in the cultural ambiance of the town.

Day 2: Phuentsholing – Thimphu
After breakfast, complete the necessary immigration and permit formalities. Once done, proceed towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy a picturesque drive through beautiful landscapes, hills, and rivers. En route, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. On arrival in Thimphu, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast, set out for a full-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Visit the magnificent Buddha Dordenma, a massive statue overlooking the city. Explore the Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the Bhutanese government. Visit Simtokha Dzong, the National Library, BBS Tower, and the Folk Heritage Museum. Later, see the Clock Tower Square, Simply Bhutan, and Changangkha Lhakhang, a traditional monastery. End the day with visits to the Takin Preserve, Textile Academy, and Zorig Chusum, the Institute of Traditional Arts and Crafts.

Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha – Paro
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Paro, with sightseeing in Punakha en route. Drive via the beautiful Dochula Pass, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. In Punakha, visit the iconic Punakha Suspension Bridge and the serene Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Temple of Fertility. After sightseeing, continue the drive to Paro and check into your hotel upon arrival.

Day 5: Paro Sightseeing
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and then set out for a day of sightseeing in Paro. Visit the famous Tiger’s Nest Viewpoint (Taktsang Monastery), perched on a cliff, one of Bhutan’s most revered pilgrimage sites. Next, see the impressive Rinpung Dzong, offering insights into Bhutanese architecture and culture. Stop by the Paro Airport Viewpoint and the National Museum, followed by a visit to the historic Drukgyel Dzong.

Day 6: Paro – Phuentsholing
After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Phuentsholing. Enjoy the beautiful Bhutanese countryside as you drive through the serene valleys and mountain roads. Arrive in Phuentsholing by evening and check into your hotel.

Day 7: Phuentsholing – IXB Departure
After an early breakfast, check out and drive back to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onward journey. Depart with wonderful memories of your Bhutan trip.
